8/1/11-A European publisher deliberately sabotaged a Black female author’s Book.
A friend of mine sent me a YouTube video about an African Woman, called Sylvia Serbin, published very interesting book about, “Reines d’Afrique et héroïnes de la diaspora noire”, If we could roughly translate in English, African Queens and the heros of black diaspora, back in 2004.
The book was written first in French – since the Author, Sylvia Serbin is French speaker, journalist, reasercher and historian.
The book spoke in length the great contribution the African and black Diasporas women made to the African civilization and their community – politically, economically, militarily and socially. Ms. Serbin demonstrates in great deal that her book touches the crucial role that the black women played in the struggle of liberation and freedom of her people – through via YouTube video.
The author as well talked about how the black women resisted the European occupation and domination to their people and countries. She shows how the African women in Kingdom of Dohomey defeated a European invaded Army with humiliation.
At the same time, the book dispels the notion that Africans were savages, lazy and collaborated willingly the slavery. It also challenges the propaganda instituted by the Europeans and Western elites in general that, the black people are inferior race and ought to be civilized in order to justify their inhuman and cruel mistreatment towards the Africans for centuries.
With all the success of Ms. Serbin’s Book in France had; and perhaps the French speaking countries – according to Ms. Sylvia, her publisher decided to translate her book in German language without her consent.
To make the matter worst, the German publisher, whom her French publisher hired without her consent, deliberately and maliciously alter the entire content of Ms. Sylvia Serbin’s book, “African Queens and the heroine of black diaspora”.
The author said that she consulted with a German female professor and finally requested her to translate the German version. In her astonishment – Ms. Serbin found out that her book were utterly corrupted and completely misrepresented. “They, the German publisher, the author said, purposely change the entire words and historical facts in order to hide the true nature of the Book; and deceive the German readers”.
Obviously, they didn’t want the German people to know the real history and the truth about the African women’s contribution to the struggle through out of the centuries.
With respect to Ms. Serbin, her Publisher no doubt back stabbed her and makes her fool out of herself.
Sadly, when the author sued the German publisher into the French court – a French judge unfortunately dismissed the case; and he claimed, according to her, “that the German publisher was not responsible”.
Needless to say, these awful and dishonest so-called European scholars, businessmen and their institutions reveal their true nature in this issue; especially in these particular German and French publishers, just couldn’t hide their real face in spite of fancy offices and well calculated PR. They are nothing but Nazis with find Suites.
But they did not only steal from Ms. Serbin; they also insulted the entire Black people in the world. Therefore, the Black or African community, no matter where they are from – they must boycott with these German and French publishers and any one who does business with them.
The Africans and Black community in general ought to protest against these thieves, fraudulent and Nazis; so they or any other Western publishing industries will never do this kind diabolic behavior to anybody else again.
They must be punished, period. Please watch the Youtube video, Sylvia Serbin.mov.
